The Dual Subwoofer project

Putting the final touches on the sub. I added the baseboard, but left
some space below it so the feed would sink into the carpet and the trim
would still be above it.

Got the shortened chair-rail in place as well. I needed to shorten the
chair rail peices a little, since I want the sub to look like it is
part of the wall when sitting in the chair, and the trim was sitting a
little too low, so I shortened the chair rail by cutting off about 3/8"
from the bottom area.

All I need to do is finish filling nail holes, add a little stain in
the areas where there is un-finished wood showing and bring it upstairs.

I have my old amp hooked up to it for now, until I get a proper amp to
drive it. The old amp is only 250 watts and this sub can handle about
500.

Man, the flash brings out all the imperfections, doesn't it? I never
said the wood was perfect!

This is what is looks like right now, until I get it placed in the
right spot, from my seat in the theater.
I need to get the amp dialed in and then I can slide, or shimmy the sub
back to it's resting place. We watched "Firewall" and I could
really tell that it was able to reach lower than the old sub. This
thing is a beast and it shows. The old subs could only go down to
around 30hz before rolling off, and this can handle down to 20hz and
lower.
